In addition to being the domestic goddess who ran the house, the household budget and got everyone off to work and school this cornerstone of the family was also the baker.
After completing a myriad of household chores the goddess, AKA, mum, would don her apron, cover the bench with ingredients and create the most sumptuous biscuits, cakes and all manner of delectable home baked treats.
